Orange goes well with blue. Atleast that is what they tell me in my art class, since orange and blue are complimentary colors.

Being a painter as my profession I'd go with a white pearl. But it depends if your going for radical, mild, or off the hook.

Yeah, they're complimentary, but that's not always a good thing in design (in my opinion). Orange is not a very classy color. White or Grey would go much better... although what struck me about your post enough to reply is I think that your avatar makes any thing you say appear to be that much more instructive...

A purple in the same shade range, and if your going with metallics or pearls use the same in both, and a dark gunmetal'ish stripe of some sort breaking the 2 main colors up a bit. Bottom line is its your case, do what you will think looks good.

Id go with a pearl white or a metal flake purple. A good silver would also look nice.
