Default Removing Fingerprints

The good news is that I have the exact (flat black) finish I was looking for on my case.

The bad news is that it shows the oil from my fingerprints.

I'm worried that dish soap with the usual surfactants and Sodium-Dodecyl-Sulfate or Sodium-Lauryl-Sulfate would be too corrosive.

What do other people use to get rid of them without harming the finish?

Try a simple dry, lint-less cloth and rub them out while wearing some latex gloves. I haven't done this for computer modding, but it worked great when I was installing tint on my car windows.

wait, what kind of tint were you installing where you needed to do that?
Im a window tinter by trade, and Ive never heard of needing to do that. Usually glass cleaner thats alcohol based works just fine for cleaning tinted windows.

I would think any kind of painters prep wipes or prep cleaner should be fine.

Just some regular ol' tint from Walmart. I had to remove the old tint first, and I didn't have any professional cleaners to clean up the surface afterwards. The windex stuff I tried using left a residue. Seriously, a dry cloth worked great to get fingerprints off and generally clear off the surface before applying the new tint.
