clear coat problemaaa!11

Hello people, please help me out here

this happened after i sprayed my clear coat

what should i do?? is it possible to wetsand it and buff it with rubbing compound after? or i have to re-sand and re-spray??

yeah id say resand and reshoot it.

look like you sprayed a laquer clear onto enamel paint i know that happens sometimes to my models sometimes they dont mix right othertimes they do

nah, i know i sprayed enamel over enamel.. it says so on the can xD ! im using duplicolor btw

How long did you wait for the color to dry before shooting clear? Also is it high humidity where your at, any change in weather, ect? Moisture on your panel when you shot the clear?

About rubbing that out....doubtful. Your best bet is to sand it down, throw down some more color and reshoot your clear. Did you wetsand your color by chance? And if you did when you were done did you clean the panel off well? If so what did you clean it with?

i waited 48 hours for the color to dry !! yeah i think humidity had something to do with this...

so i should just go ahead and wetsand this and re-spray right? should i use 1000, 1500, and 2000 grit? and no i did not wetsand my color prior to clearcoating

that had to be the problem then

but yeah you should always wet sand helps make it smooth and also to check for any imperfections and 1500 is good enuf relly dont think ud need 2000

I think You waited too long before recoats, had the same problem with bad fisheye on the clearcoat.

Isnt duplicolor paint supposed to be recoated within 1 hour?

I'll never use anything from a spray can again except for Krylon, its never let me down.

hmm alright then, so this is the final question. Should i just wetsand the clearcoat and respray the clear coat or do i have to spray the color coat as well?

myself id wet sand it ,then reshoot color incase some is lost from getting that clearcoat off just to be safe, good luck on it
