Wink A little painting today

Hello there

Done some painting on an old case today, a very rushed job as I have little time on my hands these days. Some of the painting methods I used today I wouldnt advise to anyone But I have a good ability to dress things up nice enough, even though I went to watch the match and didnt realise the rain had started and the box was outside dryin, it turned out ok. Its an old case, so anyway heres some pics :

The old case and paint Job

This actually wasnt a bad paint effect here, so I took a pic incase someone has ideas

The Black

One of my other battered old cases that Im taking the parts from :

All black case, some new Orange fans :

I painted my psu, also back of the cd, dvd drives, top window still to be fitted (Some other day)

Thats it, happy enough with the end result.

C ya later, im away to get drunk

Looks really sharp... iono, mebbe just me... but I like the way the fans and mobo just pop out of the darkness =x

Could use a tiny bit of wire work tho, but at least from the shots (angles make it hard to tell) it looks pretty good... main nitpick is with the rainbow one streaking back to the back of the case.

I know Wire work to follow, I was meant to run the wire behind the gfx card, it wasnt till I bolted the side on theN powered up did I see how bright it was under uv.

Its easy enough, I think its the shiny black of the case that makes it, the black will work well with any colour of UV. Doesnt seem to work aswell with silver interior.

I used Askasa UV lamps also for the first time, and they seem brighter than any other lamps ive used in the past, then again I used satin black paint which has a bit of a shine of it, so maybe they are refecting of that for a better glow.

Looks great, Mark. A black chassis really helps bring out UV-lighted parts.

I second BeetleMan! That's very nice work. The green and orange actually don't look bad together, creates a sort of glow.
