| Fuel Hoe-lio  |  Is my network whacky, or what? I have a Gateway Solo laptop, Barricade 7040 Wireless Router, and a Linksys USB wireless network adapter. It seems like if I set the USB adapter right next to my laptop screen, I get crappy download speeds..when I stretch out the cord and get it a few feet from the computer..speeds are normal. I had the Speedstream DSL modem 5360, but I swapped it out with an older Speedstream 5260 (which could be the reason for improvement). Is it possible that my laptop or speakers could be causing download interferance..or the 5360 series modems are crap?? | |
