Default having some problems with photoshop

I'm having some trouble with the colors in PS. I just installed it and everything is tinted purple! I've never used it before but how do I get the regular colors back? I've tried changing the color but it always goes back to purple. Here is a screenshot of what I'm talking about. God I hate that color....Can someone plz help me out here? Thanks.

I can't think of any reason. Maybe uninstall it, then reinstall PS. That might help.

Try this Anon....Havent tried it myself, but may work

Reset Photoshop Preferences
``````````````````````````````````````````
You can now reset them on startup by holding down Shift+Alt+Ctrl. And of course on the Mac with Shift+Option+Command
Damn nothing helps!!! I uninstalled/reinstalled....nothing. Did the Shift+Alt+Ctrl....nothing. My bro just installed the same one on his comp and it worked flawlessly. No problems at all....so do you think it might be something with my comp, or another program I have installed?
try using different color profiles. If that is not the issue I don't know what else to tell you.
Do you have any color calibration software installed? Something that came with your vid card? Disable it. Run Adobe gamma to calibrate your monitor. If that doesn't work try completely disabling Adobe Gamma in your start up folder. Or try removing any color profiles in your monitor control panel.
For some strange reason your Green channel is completely opposite your Red and Blue Channel on the highlight side. That's the color you would normally get with R at 255, Blue at 255 and Green at 0. The Green channel is backwards.
Damn AntiM, you're good. I ran Adobe Gamma (although I didn't change anything) and it was fine. Go figure. Thanks alot.
Well, at least was on the right track... lol
I gotta say AntiM that you should go on Jeopardy. It seems that you have a lot of knowledge on MANY
subjects and I can't recall any of your advice ever being wrong. 3 cheers!
Good idea flounder.
Whats the best method of getting Duck to do that?
Heres another good link for Reseting the Preferences File:
http://www.creativepro.com/story/fea...l?origin=story
Also, under WinXP (Show Hidden Files and Folders must be enabled), you can browse to :
C:\Documents and Settings\"Yor User Name Here"\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop\7.0
and delete the "Adobe Photoshop 7.0 Settings" folder to reset them.
