If you tried nero vision and it won't play in your dvd player, then try playing it in your computer. If it plays then your dvd player is not compatible with that particular type of DVDR. Are you using + or - R? The reason I ask is because I have found that most home dvd players won't play -R's and they will play +R's. Hope this helps.

Hello HTRN, if i may ask you this are you just trying to use a DVD rom player for your pc or a stand alone DVD player that hooks to your tv. the reason i am asking is i only use DVD-R Media and it plays in both my pc DVD player and my DVD player that hooks to my tv. This is the DVD Player i use on my tv and it plays every DVD i put in it and that includes copied DVD'S.http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=4529480 $33.94
and this is the dvd rom i use in my pc.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827101131$19.99 + $5.46 3 DAY SHIPPING I am going to PM you on the software i use to burn movies.

Thanks HTRN that DVD player from Walmart works great for copied DVD'S and it is cheap, i have a $300 SONY DVD Player and it will not even read DVDR media it just shows me that the most expensive DVD players out there don't work with DVDR media, and that software i PM you about you will not regret getting it.

Nero 7 Ultra sucks... Nero 6 is way better for making DVD's. I use the OEM version of Nero 6 that came with my DVD burner and it works great.
