| Semin-Hoe-Le Supp-Hoe-Ter  |  Re-Building system beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep So i slap everything together (with much care) and power up... pause......short beep (PC saying I found the bios) pause.......long beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep gah! help I tried moving the RAM around (Brand new Crucial DDR Stick) i tried changing IDE cables for the hard drive, i tried taking out the sound plugs... any suggestions? | |

| Semin-Hoe-Le Supp-Hoe-Ter | Also, i dont seem to be getting a steady signal from my monitor, the power light on the front is flashing in the "Im waiting for something" kind of way... *shrug* i checked the floppy cables also...hmmm... my CPU Cooler installed without any trouble, so i dont think i cracked the thing... im lost. | |

| Old Skool Pimp  | HSF Fan Header? Is your HSF Fan header in use? It's possible that you have the hsf plugged into the accessory port for a diff fan instead. Most new MOBOS have a safety system now that if it doesn't detect a fan on that header it shuts down the sytem. Double check that. I'm guessing your using a SOYO board?Sounds very much like a soyo. | |

| King of the Noobs!  | DW...had him check that also in PM. He cleared the CMOS (reset) Switched Video Cards Check'd the power cables to from PS to MOBO and Wall Reseated the RAM Verified the Proc Fan was plugged in Verified that FAN 1 was plugged in He cannot get into the BIOS at all. He will be switching the Processor Tomorrow or Later and might be able to swap the RAM. He's trying to "Trouble Shoot" where the error is comming from. | |

| Old Skool Pimp | Sounds like the fan was plugged wrong location to start wiht and now its not. I'd check the CPU. Look for anything slighlty dicolored. Or smelling funny. Hows the paste look on the bottom of the HSF? Any black in it? Possible all these attempts fried that bad boy.Only takes a second or two you know | |

| Old Skool Pimp | Good Job Fantazmic. Seems it was down the same path I mentioned earlier. I knew that he must be using Soyo as thats a SOYO feature the power down like that. I knew when he said that his board would power on then beep and shut off that it was exactly the fan header. BZA You can disable that feature in the BIOS. if wanted but Unless water cooling I would use it. Saves you a few hundred if the HSF fails. Anyways good job Fantazmic helping him was great. | Motor Cyc -Hoe  | soyo problem the cpu fan problem you were experiencing is the newest safety feature to be put on most new mb's, but you can diable this in the bios for the soyo dragon boards if you want to use you ps to power your fans. i don't recommend that you do though because it could really save your @ss if the fan fails. | |
