Thumbs down Funkibut's computer goes BEEP!

So I couldn't connect to the network this morning, so I reseated the NIC.

Now my computer goes BEEPBEEPBEEPBEEP at startup. It does TRY to startup so I think the proc and everything is still ok. I didn't notice the CMOS battery was loose. Do I need to do a CMOS refresh? Do PSUs go BEEP eternally?

Its an eMachine BTW.

HELP!

Boot it with the minimum required hardware and see what happens. It may be a bad network card.

It is very unlikely, but have you tried unplugging the mouse and KB too?

I am afraid that it is time to start swapping parts with another system.

Talking Keyboard

I'm a moron. I left the toolkit sitting on the keyboard while swapping the NIC. Ive already removed the mobo and swapped in a new PSU in the meantime ....

What a maroon
