Well, this is what happened. I was working on a
PC which needed some data taken off it, so we stuck the hard drive in a USB caddy thingy mabobby. I opened up the root and went into my computer. I was working on a strange computer so I thought that the E:/ was a partitition on the computer hard drive... But noo, it was actually the removable drive.
So I create a folder on e:/ for the back up and drag and drop. Then I some "move" message (I think it was something about moving a "read only" file), I didn't really read it so I pressed "cancel" as a reflex to look into the problem. So I go back into root, and theres no more "my documents" folder, and it hadn't been moved into the backup folder either...
Any idea if it could have been stored in a temp file somewhere, like some cache memory or anything? Weird that pressing cancel to a process would completely remove the source folder like that, seems like a flaw like that would have been solved by now...
Any help is appreciated
