 |  System restore will reset your Registry to a date and time of your choosing (from a list). The recovery consule will allow you to do things like running scandisk from a DOS prompt to recover damaged or corrupt files. Basically you should try System Restore 1st and if it doesn't work then you can try the recovery consule and it's various options. |
