| Sorry I don't have first-hand knowlege to summarize for ya. But given your existing knowlege of routers, maybe in scanning through some setup procedures, the differences will pop out at ya... | The main difference is it is all administered through IOS. If you feel up to that then it most likely would be something y ou could pick up on easily. The link that FunkyFresh posted should give you a good starting point, but not sure if you can fudge your way through a whole interview. Especially if it is a pre-requisite to know Cisco routers. | ||

| its one of the things i will be doing on an almost daily basis, and i am learning a lot from those docs funky fresh sent me, seems simple enough, learn the syntax, learn the privilaged and unprivilaged commands, and how to administrate it (using hyperterminal with a serial cable, or over an existing network if the router already has an interface configured)... | ||

| From your original post, it looks like you should be in the middle of the interview as I'm writing this. Best of luck to ya! (Personally, I'd rather hire someone with a good base foundation who's driven than someone with X years of experience who isn't excited about it.) | ||

It has it's perks though. Going to Networkers is always a blast. Not to mention they foot the bill for the fun and festivities. Then there is all the swag you come home with, too. ![]() | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
