FireFox or PimpRig?

So I opened my home page (PR) and left it on as I was reading some book.. and after a minute or so, a download box pops up asking if I want to download some sort of file. The blue bar on top of the webpage said "Firefox prevented this site from showing a pop up bla bla..."
It could either be PR or FF itself. Be aware, guys and gals.

Edit: I think it's some sort of spyware since I just went to their site and see a download link for "Uninstaller", as if the first thing you'd wanna do is uninstall it.

I was getting the same exact thing so it was defintly pimprig.
I checked for spyware and i got some so a just assumed but its good to know that its not just me.

umm i have it too....with assorted pop-ups. i just did a scan with adaware, spybot, and spy sweeper and had nothing on my system. someone hacked pimprig i guess.

Hmm, I don't get the same thing. It is very possible that one of the ads are setup to do something like that which slipped through. There has been a problem in the past like that on an advertising network. I will report the issue to my security guys and make sure they check out the server.

Since it seems to be a rather scattered issue (or more people would be posting here) I am thinking it is a nasty banner ad that slipped through the networks screening somehow. You guys were on the main homepage when it happened?

Main page with no other pages open. It suddenly appeared after about half a minute, not right away.

There's no real need for that link. In the initial screenshot Erad posted, the link was right there in the pop-up!

I've not recieved it, using FF with ad/pop-up blocking software, so it is likely (almost definately) one of the ads.

Was it only on this site that it came up? I have been doing some reasearch on "terp17" and it does seem to be a virus of some sort. It may not necessarily be from PimpRig, though. It is being investigated I can assure you.

Yeah, it was only on pimprig.
It might have been something messed up but you should look further into it.

I've never seen it. But I have a pop-up stoper,I guess a good one !!

It will be taken care of though, GK doesnt abide with that sly sheit.

Fatsobob Apex's Squirrel Revolutionary	I was getting the same exact thing so it was defintly pimprig. I checked for spyware and i got some so a just assumed but its good to know that its not just me.
