Default well....now what

ok
i just got another stick of ram-geil 512meg 3200

it does not seem to like my overclock.(2500xp to a 3200xp)

with the oc i get the blue screen, mem dump, restart crap.
with out the oc it runs fine.

while i am saving funds for a matched pair of xms, should i clock down to 2500 speeds and run both

or keep my overclock and run just 512 mem???

would id get better preformance with 1 gig of ram,or the oc?????

i game alot and surf...thats preaty much what the machine is for.

specs are
amd 2500 oc'd to a 3200
asus a7n8x-x mobo
geforce bfg 6800 gt oc

That depends on what games and software your running. 512 is going to be fine for almost all games out. ALMOST.
Having 1gb you will see a improvement but not as much of one as you probably would if you had a faster processor. It comes down to running benchmarks.

Open UT 2k4 or doom 3 or whatever do a fps on both ways and see what you get.

I personaly think your going to see better performance with the faster processor. But as a trade off try down clocking it to a 3000 rather then a 3200 and see if it will run then.
