Help my windows media player wont open

I dont know whats wrong, i press the litte icon and all i hear is a beep.

Whats that about and why wont it open?

I also need to get *codecs* for certain movies to play were can i get these?

Use Winamp. For the movies, you gotta find out what those codecs are. This program works most of the time. It will find out what codecs are needed for a movie file and download them.

Not sure why it won't open but as far as the codecs go if you are trying to play divx movies you need the divx codec which can be aquired here . Most other codes windows media player will just download on its on when needed. Hope this helps a lil bit.
