| Apex Techie Wannabe | Yes thats right begging. Ok, so I'm stationed overseas and about a year ago I decided to try to build a computer....and it worked. But then about a month ago I went to turn it on and it just didn't start. Everything powered up but it didn't boot up. So I restarted it and still nothing worked. This went on for about 20 minutes then BAM, it started working, like nothing was ever wrong with it. When I try to go to the BIOS menu it brings up a different one with only 3 selections but pressing the respective key doesn't do anything. So I bought another mobo and it doesn't work either. So I don't know where to start next. Can anyone here help me? My system: 3.0Ghz P4 800FSB Gigabyte mobo 500w true blue antec psu 1Gb kingston ram Radeon 9800 Pro graphics card audigy 2 sound card WD 20Gb hdd (master) WD 250Gb hdd Plextor DVD-burner (master) mitsumi 16x DVD drive (slave) cooler master wave master case Note: I'm using a 220v-110v converter/transformer. Any help is greatly appreciated. | |

| Apex Techie Wannabe | No, I don't think so, I'm like the only person in the world without internet at home (2 euro a minute is too much) plus I had the IT dept. scan my computer last month when the problem first started. I'm worried it's the processor is screwin up (just a gut feeling). | |

| Apex Techie Wannabe | could be...it was running hotter than it should have. I never over clocked it and i used thermal paste, had a thermaltake copper heatsink/fan, and 6 case fans but it still ran at about 150 degrees F. But if it's fried, would it still work occasionally? | |
