| I have my burner and DVD-rom on one IDE. That's great, it all works fine and dandy. On the secondary connector that's running the cd-rw, 4 of the wires have been ripped (2 on either side) right at the edge where the wires meet the connector. The strange thing (at least to me) is that face that the burner still reads/writes pefectly. It's been like this for awhile now and I've not made a coaster yet. Is this a strange occourance? or is it normal for 4 wires to be off but have the drive still function properly..? Everything seems to work fine, I haven't had any problems with he drives (LG dvd-rom drive, LG 16x10x40 cd-rw). Call me crazy, but I just don't think that's right. Camper | ||

| Well, something tells me the connections are still partially there, but it could be that those few wires on the sides aren't used for much when it comes to burners. I'd suggest getting new cables just to be safe (against future failure of the burner or cable). And wtf are you talking about Clown? "u might want to get sum hdd" and I'm talking besides the fact that you can't write english... | ||
