| I normally use DHCP to issue my IP addresses in my LAN, but as soon as i set the client PCs with a static IP address within the IP range, they all cant access the Internet, but have no problems accessing the LAN. What am i missing? ![]() | ||

| From my experience, to set up a static IP for a computer you'll need to adjust the following settings: -IP address: The first 3 sets of numbers should match the LAN IP address of the router, the last set of numbers should be within the range of numbers the router is set to handle. -Subnet Mask: Generally it's "255.255.255.0" -Default Gateway: Use the LAN IP address of the router. -Preferred DNS Server: Again, use the LAN IP address of the router. *Alternate DNS Server: If you see this leave it blank. | ||
