Default Firefox :(

Firefox update about two days ago, and now it is VERY bogged down. Has anybody else had this problem? If I have 3 or more tabs open for more than 20 minutes, the browser slugs like none other. Hell even IE works smoother.

Running Vista x64 (Please no vista jokes.)
4 Gig XMS2
9600 Agena

Solutions?

No slower than usual here. Sorry I can't help. I can only suggest unstall/reinstall.

I did notice than Mapquest updated their site a bit and now it doesn't work very well with firefox.

Using FF 3 Beta 4 here, smooth as you like and faster than Opera

Ooooo....:smack:

Opera and the Acid3 Test - Desktop Team - by Desktop Team

This is why competition is good

But seriously Yunk, give Opera a shot. It's just as good as FF.

I notice that if i leave it up for long periods of time, example over night then if I run the task manager I notice that its starts to memory leak. Never was bothered to figure out why it was doing it, might try FF3 when I get home tonight.

FF2 and lower have a mem leak, it's noted and well documented. FF3 is suposed to fix it.

Firefox 3 Beta 5 available now. They've frozen the code until the release of RC1 sometime soon.

It doesn't quite live up to Operas perfect 100/100 Acid Test 3 score, with a score of 71/100 (a slight increase from around 68/100 in Beta 4) but they have made over 750 changes from Beta 4 aimed at increased security and compatibility, also making it the fastest build of FF so far
