Hey whats up people.

Maybe someone could help me with this, does anyone on this forum own a Viewsonic VX922 LCD monitor ? i bought this monitor from Newegg.com back in 2006.


I am having this problem where i start my computer up and then when i get to the welcome screen, it flashes on and off and then. a few seconds later the monitor is shut itself off and i will have to restart my PC, and it does the samething, sometimes i have to unplug the monitor, then plug it back in. and restart my computer and it works again.

Is this a Driver related problem ???

I have installed the viewsonic drivers

and i also have the latest nvidia drivers installed.

i don't know whats up with this i googled and people
are having the same problem but not related to this...


i don't know guys... what seems to be the problem....

Lets for a moment assume it's the Viewsonic drivers.
You could uninstall, then reinstall.
You could uninstall, then reinstall generic LCD drivers [Is there such a thing?].
Quicker than RMA and might narrow doen problem scope.

It may not be a driver issue. My Benq lcd does the same thing and it is just barely 2 years old. Everything I have searched and found out has pointed to either the power supply in the monitor is going out or there is an issue with one of the ccfl's in it for the backlighting. Granted the monitor still works, but sometimes just unplugging it makes it work fine, other times I have to just let it sit for about 15-30 min. for it to actually work with it being on.

Yea... i see our problems are related i hope it's not a power supply issue though.
