Question Hacked or Bad wireless mouse?

This problem is making me lose sleep my computer seems to be hacked but its not hacked.
Problem 1. The mouse at some times random moves around and clicks on things and Just today moved my files and played a music file.
problem 2. When i disconect my mouse it does not do these things.
problem 3. Then how the hell did a mouse with no user move 2 icons and open a music file, mouse was in.
I have formated windows, its lagit and Updated, also runing norton 2004 updated and personal firewall updated. Im behind windows firewall and the router firewall.
I have change the workgroup name and my comps name and the user name and pass.
I have change the port im on and flashed our ips.
I have also checked all logs for apps usages and network use, and found nothing.
No intruesions or trojens or backdoors or extra users or anything unusal. This is driving me nuts and its totaly random.
AM I hacked or is it the wireless mouse sending false signals.
Im leaning towards mouse but its so weird, if it were a hacker he/she would have left something screwy or deleted files or uploaded a virus or stole data.
I have no valuable data on my comp BTW.
SomeBuddy or any buddy else have this problem hack or mouse. I want to know what i can and should do.!

Thank you any info would be great

Does it do it when you're not connected to the internet?

Does it do it with a wired mouse?

That'd rule out the most worrying possibility... How often does it happen?

EDITED: For more 100 percent questioning power, even on cloudy days!

Well, it could be random interferrence. What frequency doen the mous operate on? For that matter what's the make and model?

I agree with Sport-o, does it happen when you're not connected to the net? Sounds like someone's in yer rig. Firewalls don't stop all backdoors and there are some legit apps which may be installed in such a way as not be noticed by you and antivirus apps don't look for them.... for example you can install a VNC server as a service which uses it's own passwords not associated with Windows usernams and passwords.

Kinda funny tho... sorry, just reminds me of an old Mac I had with speach recognition.... kept doing things on it's own at night... guess when I mumbled in my sleep it thought I was talking to it.

Good luck

OMFG I found out what it was, I'm 98% sure its my moms wireless mouse, sending signals, I told here to move here mouse and it moved my pointer and i also told here to click on icons and move things and it moved and opened my files.OMFG this is crazy!
My mom is the evil hacker!! LOL
As of right now i am going to disconect and see what happens also im going to try a wired mouse. Can any one recomend a godd ergo wired mouse.
This is what I lost sleep and sanity trying to figure it out.
It had been going on fo a month or so. I think my mom moved furniture thus changing the paths which used to block the signal, she is as of right now moving my pointer.
Thanks you guys It sliped my mind that wireless is based on Waves and which waves can be picked up by other recivers.
LOL thanks and im going to try even more just to be %110 sure.
Thanks again. LOL

Isn't there a button on the bottom of the components to change channel? then you don't have to throw away the mouse. You should get an MX500

I'v changed the frequency 4 times and it still moves it, but mine can't move hers?

Does the MX500 have the two standard like a normal 2 button right click and left click built in or are they buttons?
