Question Premiere Problems

Well, I am totally stumped. I am sitting here, working on a video for a Bible project, and I cannot figure out what is wrong here. I am doing a video on war, and am editing some clips of Saving Private Ryan together in Premiere. The original file has sound and everything, but when I drag the footage I want from the original to the timeline, it seems to loose the sound. It still shows that it has sound on the Audio 1 timeline, but previewing or exporting wont render the sound. I just dont get it. Tried finding any settings that I may have missed and I boosted up the Windows volume bars to full, nothing is on mute. It just doesnt seem to want to work for me. So, do any of you guys have any ideas? I am open to anything. Thanks in advance.

Did you try exporting the movie as a different file type? Try MPEG, and AVI? If so...does sound work on those files as well. Also check your sound ports.

Its not just exporting. When I drag the clip from the preview pane to the timeline, somehow it looses its audio. I dunno how, both audio and video are set to on.

Preview pane? Are you dragging and dropping from the Bin?

What version are you using btw?
