newer vs older ATI video cards

I was wondering what is the equivalent to the X1600 pro in the
newer generation of ATI video cards?

9436 in 3DMark03 for an x1600XT with a Pentium4

14000 for a 2400 pro and a core2

I can tell you that I purchased a Pny 1600 O.C. and sold it to some hapless lanparty aquintence 2 days later at a $25 loss.
The card was an utter dissapointment, of which ive seldom experienced in Pc'dom.

In fact I was so disgusted I forked out the cash for a 7900GTX
