Post help me decide on components

hi, well i finally got the money to buy a new computer, i have $800-$900 dollars and i need help to decide on what a good system to be for that. What i need to get with this money is the case, power supply, keyboard, mouse and then all the stuff inside the computer, the case i wanted was at svc, the lian li pc-7 for like, $74.95

So if you guys could help me that'd be great, this is not another thread about posting dream machines or anything cause i actually am going to buy it, so thanks for any help!

EDIT: i was looking mostly to buy at newegg.

EDIT 2: does newegg take paypal? I'd rather that then credit but either way works.

How can we help you decide on parts if you don't tell us what you'll be using your pc for. For example..are you going to play a lot of games, watch movies, record/edit video, or just type up 100 page documents?

$900 won't buy much - although it is more than I've spent on a single machine this decade

Have ya gots parts youre moving from another box? It's silly to recommend "big fast nonthermal SCSI hard drive" if you have a HD youre already gonna use.

Big fast video and mucho RAM seem to be your top two requirements. For vid-editing and games.
