I recently purchased (another) adaptec 2100s scsi raid card for my computer to use raid 0 with 3 18gb fujitsu Man3184mp's. What i did was i made an array group, restarted so windows knows the correct information (single 50gb drive instead of independents), and partition the drive as a basic drive (though ive tried dynamic too). The problem occurs when i go to restart my computer and boot up windows again, what happens is the system looks like its loading the windows logo forever. Ive tried to leave it on for multiple hours to see if maybe it was just being stubborn or a little slow, but still to no avail. Though, if i dont restart windows i can use the raid setup but its speed is incredibly slow (i understand raid 0 will have a longer write since its writing to 3 drives but 15 secs for a 41mb file to transfer from 1 drive to the raid, i think theres a problem). I guess what im asking is, is there a step i'm missing or something of that nature to remedy this problem. Also, i have a single scsi drive that is connected to an independent card, do you think it should it be connected to the single card or take out the single card and connect it to the raid card?
