Linux in a Performa 631...

well i aquired a Macintosh Performa 631 CD for free today. Digital-World posted a challenge of me installing Linux on it. Since i know almost nothing about linux, i dont even know where to start. If someone could help that would be great!

Well, Mandrake will be the easiest for you, I think they make a PPC (for macs) version of it. go to http://www.linuxiso.org

It is a PowerPC chip in it right?

not sure it is still in the blazer......i have mandrake 9.1 would that work?

Not if its the x86 version. You need the PPC version for mac's with Powerpc chips, ie the PPC version of linux.
