Default 735mb on a 700mb CD-R?

I have a few Pink Floyd VCD's that I would like to make backups of so I can put the originals up on a shelf and forget about, but don't know how to do it.. The video file on the originals is in .DAT format. so when I want to watch it I copy the DAT file to my HDD, change the file extension and watch away. Wither way, the file is 735mb....So, how can I back them up to a cd? Can I? I have Nero 5.5 if that helps..

Thanks all.

the Cplextor Plexwrite can stuff a gig onto a CD, at the cost of compatibility, but yu may just want to go get 80 min CDRs.

No worries, video files appear in windows as their unallocated size. Allocated size is generally around 30-100MB less. It will fit on the CD fine.

Try burning it as a VCD, if the file is a valid MPEG format. Otherwise just drag the file to your CDRW drive and use windows built-in cd burning software.
