After deleting my old video drivers and installing the new ones, my CS desktop icon somehow changed into the default Windows icon. I do not know how video drivers have an effect on the desktop. It seemed to have deleted the folder in which the CS icon was stored.

I was hoping one of you kind, loving members of PR could copy the icon file and send it to me. I would be truly grateful if someone could do this. If you wish, you could PM me and I'll give you my e-mail.

I think the file path is: C:\WINDOWS\system32\steam\Steam\Games\Counter-Strike.ico

I would also love to know if there is an alternate way to get around this problem. Thanks guys!

EDIT - Well, I found an icon database on the web and they seemed to have the Counter-Strike icon. Thanks to all that tried to help. Peace.

I can almost guarantee that thats the incorrect folder try C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam\Games\Counter-Strike.ico

The file isn't in there either. I did a full c-drive search for "Counter-Strike.ico." My computer does not have that icon.

Thx Tycoon. I already got the icon from the net, but I'm sure people will appreciate the file in the future. The zip file works btw.The website took me forever to find...lol

my cs icon for a while was just the hl icon .but that was back before steam.. i just made my own icon now
