windows update

hmm
for some reason after I use windows update ( http://www.windowsupdate.com ) for the 1st time everything works fine. Any other time I try to goto windows update and click scan for updates it doesnt seem to work.

What do u mean?
(the clock in the systray is right date and time, if thats what ur talking about)

swOnald...yes, that is what BA is talking about...

What is the System Date and Time set as?

Right Click on the Time...yes in the systen tray...and click on Adjust Date/Time.

Make sure they are correct.

Are you using an auto-detect proxy server? Open IE Properties, Click Connections and then LAN Settings. REMOVE the check mark in "Automatically Detect Settings" and try it again. It should work.

Do you use a firewall? What brand? when you install something new does it have to ask you to use the internet?

I have a linksys router
no firewall software installed
