Creating first Home netwrok and need help.

I am getting everything together to create a 3 computer network in my home.
I would like to use a 166Mhz P1 with 32mb of ram and a 2 gig OS drive and a 60 gig storage drive to backup select folders and system settings off each of the two PC's that will be backed up. The two PC's that I will want data backed up will be running Windows XP, and the server (Windows 98) will do the saving.

What software do I need to create a daily backup of the 2 PC's onto the server?

What is the aproximate cost
and
what general tips and advice can you give me.

This will all be done through a 4 port router on a cable internet connection.

I use EZBackitup, works over a network, can be scheduled, will write to any drive. And it's free!!

I believe you need to have a network drive mapped for it to backup to another machine, which *can* be a security hole depending on your setup. Check it out here...

Nice thing about EZ is that it just stores the files, without zipping them in any way, so they can be looked at er even used without any decompression.

Oh, well, sport, I just deleted my last post as I didn't realize that the free version wouldn't back up more then 500kb files.

And, i don't know how much space is being used, cause direct copies eat up disk space.

So that covers backup, I still would like to know how I can set up the server to save password protected folders from XP such as Documents and settings.
