Default NT computer won't boot!!!!!

Comptuer with windows NT comes up with message,on a blue screen, that says, "Inaccessible boot disk".

Thinking it's a bad hard drive... Any other ideas?

Try going to technet.com and doing a search with the error message that you get (including the main numbers depending on how it appears)...that site has a lot of solutions even though it is Microsoft.

1. This could due to the Hard drive is not connected to the end connector of the Ide cable.
2. The power connector may be lose or bad, try another power connector.
3. If your are using a single drive, make sure the jumper setting for the Hard drive is set to Single

Hope any of that helps , I'm not sure if the boot.ini file could have got corrupted, but you could try to edit that and make sure the boot.ini file is still good and reflects the drive. Do a virus scan too.

Now i have time to be more precise...

Its some weird 300Mhz winNT comp. Its the schools comp, though the school doesn't know really anything about it.

I disabled all but the HDD for boot disks. Thats why I am targeting this drive.

Also, it has a CD ROM that when connected would restart the comp with any activity (including boot)
Disconnected the CD and that part works fine.
Down to power or HDD. only 250W of power, im gonna bring a 425W in tomorrow.

The error message displays a lot of numbers that equal jibrish to me. But that is the only english besides instructions do do stuff in NT which i cannot get into. Its not a BSOD.

Its down to either the PSU working or using my comp for the editing, needless to say, I will know have everything is set up tomorrow, (the AVID, DVCPRO VCR, and so forth)

The school has no money for us right now for repairs. So this is the only course of action.
