Default Socket A fun

I have been having a blast today doing some overclocking attempts with an Abit NF7s board and a Barton 2500 XP CPU. Too bad all I have is some Kingston Value, and some AData RAM... Prime95 has been my nemesis so far with this, but I am overclocking a borg, I own it, and if I kill it, I kill it.

All my previous oc attempts were on my main computer, so with this one, I will have some fun. Damn, it just failed P95 again!

Have a good one, and happy Thanksgiving!

I've got some kingston value ram my self 2x1GB 3200 cl3 (Samsung chip) & on my old socket A nforce2 , i couldn't do anything higher then 123 (246) stable & max out at 226 (452)
but now the same ram on my A64 & nforce3 board can do 245 (490) stable 2.8v 24/7 & max out at 248 (496) at 2.5,3,3,7

i think these ram are really good for value ram or i'm luky to get the right one?

Samsung TCCD was originaly rated to run at DDR500 speeds, so if that is what you have, it is right!

(You have to look under the heatspreader if it has one, and it should be printed on it, or it might be TCCC, they were good for 230-240FSB or so, they were the revision just before TCCD, )

Alot of the TCCD chips ran much higher and ended up in premium ram, the "Average" ones ended up in generic ram, so its no surprise it still does pretty good!

I check my ram to be sure & they're not TCCC or TCCD.

one is
Samsung 552
K4H510838C - UCCC

the other
Samsung 552
K4H510838C - ZCCC

Both of them are original clock at 3,3,3,8

EDIT: forgot to said my ram got no heatspreaders & my ram are double side ram (chip on both side of the stick) if that ever does a difference?
