Default overclocking a not so great laptop

I was wondering if the Acer Aspire 3002LCi is good for overclocking. I'm hoping to get one, but I don't know anything about overclocking laptops.
(sorry about my last thread, didn't mean for it to be spam)

I should have been more specific, I don't plan on using it for intense gaming. I just want it to run as fast as possible for basic use. Also, what are some good add-ons for this laptop? (memory, video card,..etc)

If you want a labtop to run as fast as possible then keep it free of spyware, adware, and viruses. Thats the best advice I can give someone when dealing with most anything PCish.

Either way, overclocking your labtop will be a mistake. There are made to run cool (most run hot anyways) so adding extra heat will lead to premature faiure of parts inside.

I could list some apps like clock gen and Intel overclocking apps, (if thats what the CPU type is), but no point really as you wil not see any real gains in performance...in anything.

Period.

Thanks for the advice.
So do most people not overclock laptops?
If so, I would just like to see what you guys think of parts to add to it, or maybe some cool laptop modding forums or links.

Most laptops will not handle the extra heat well, not to mention that you will be draining the battery very quickly. Invest in a fast hard drive and more memory, it's safer and will be more reliable.
