| I had it saved somewhere - but I can't seem to find it. To keep my next case looking uniform I was planning on using vandal switches for everything. So basic question - anyone know a guide to making the circuit to use a momentary for turning on/off things such as CCFL's? I can't seem to remember the work around to using them without that dreaded issue of pushing the button and it having a 50% chance of turning itself back on/off. Bonus points if can find one or tell me how to use a momentary to clear CMOS. Where when depressed it'll open a normally closed leg and close a open. | ||

I was thinking flip-flop circuits. Only way I know to use relays for what I'm talking about is a min. of 3 relays which gets rather large when I'm needing 5 of these puppies to function as SPST. 15 relays in a SFF is a bitch much. ![]() ADD: Found the circuit after digging through bit-tech. If anyone is wondering... Last edited by Iateronmly; 21-January-07 at 09:14 AM.

| If you really want to get small and cut your component count down then one way to do what you want would be by using a PIC or some other microcontroller... something from the 16F*** family would be ideal. All it would take would be a few lines of C code and some free software and job done. connect the switches to some input pins, have the output pins connected to the 'Gate' leg of a transistor and job done. Bit more complex i suppose but far more elegant... not to mention the cool stuff you could then get it to do! lol Mark | ||

| I've having one helluva time trying to find a security (looks like a anti-vandal, just can't take as much force) switch that's momentary combined NO/NC from anyone that doesn't have 500 dollar min orders. Anyone know of a supplier I should check out? I'm basicly tryin' to keep all my switches the same low profile style. I found one place so far, but they want 90 dollars for it.... I'm hoping there's something out there in the sub-40 range. Last edited by Iateronmly; 23-January-07 at 06:21 AM. | ||

Basicly I'm looking for a 18-22mm low profile momentary that has a normal-open and normal-close with a common terminal on back. It's kinda unnerving when you find yourself looking for parts they don't really exist in the normal channels for your PC.
