Default flat cables for power

hmm i remember awhile back, i saw some flat cables that were meant for running under wallpaper-- they were that thin.

anyone know where i can get these? i think they'd be pretty ultimate in stealthing your cables.

EDIT: typos

Try Ultimate Electronics, or even Circuit City, they should have a lead on them, if nothing else, they're used in home stereo applications for speakers usually...

thats some cool stuff but its kinda pricy. if you ran it along the inside of your case and painted over it nobody would even know.

(but i couldent because i would know where the little line was and it would bother me, becasue i would know i was to lazy to do it right and took a shortcut.)

I noticed this the other day too... Cheaper, but they only have 2-conductor...

Huh, wish I saw this sooner... we used to use that stuff for installing alarm systems in retail store display cases.

If yer in a bind you can get adhesive backed copper tape for leading with stained glass work..... really cheap, but hard to find it in a very narrow width (haven't seen any smaller than 1/8"). That's what I used to get fir of the wires for my case's door fan.

EDIT: BTW - the stuff's not insulated, so if your mounting surface isn't painted.... do so. Painted the inside of my door then painted over the wires. Enamel insulated well.

thanks for the tip CRE, that looks like a much more viable solution because it is cheap

that looks like a winning solution to me

I got a couple hundred feet of it 3/16" for just a couple bucks..... I was actually using it for a stained glass water fountain when I decided I was sick of my door fan's wires....

I avoided having to put any connections on the door at all. The copper tape runs to the edge of the door where about 1/2" of tape is not sprayed over and I put tape on the same spots inside the case so the door can be pulled off at anytime without unplugging a thing. I love it..... I guess I screw aroung in my case too much.
