Here's my keyboard mod, which is still in progress, needa buy more LED's. Uses two 2500mcd Red LED's. Shines through each row of keys to create a nice effect, too bad my camera doesn't capture this glory, although my dad just bought a new Caonon 4.0 MP S45 Camera, which i cant wait to get my hands ahold of, so until then here are some grainy pics.

I took my keyboard apart a few days ago planning on replacing the LEDs and it got me think why not add a few extras. Thats probably what ill do seeing i dont like the glow wire effect and the wire gives me the feeling its a premod.

I don't smoke. Sorry about the horrible quality on this $3000 digital camcorder, which I think should have cost me $50.

EDIT: Gore, is your keyboard corded or not? I got cordless. I anticipate I will only get 1-2 weeks on the batteries, but luckily I use 1800mAh rechargeables.

Yes its corded and for an old acer ive had for serveral years, pretty good. Well i gtg to bed. Getting late x.x

The LED's for the Lock keys are green so im thinking white LEDs in green incasing and that means ~3volts and that should be enough to get a super bright blue to run w/o burning.

a 3 grand camcorder? so is it a sony trv-2000? mmm.... 3 CCDs. i would expect better from such a "pro-sumer" device. so you plan on putting LEDs around the boarder or is the goal to halo every key?

I say you should have used EL wire or some more LEDs for a brighter effect.

Problem with these Logitech Cordless Elite Duo's, they are too thin to support EL Wire under the keys, because the keystroke is also very small. Basically you just tap the key on these keyboards. Of course more LED's are on the way, but I'm just showing the general idea I have. I will have 1 LED per line on each side so it has a nice glow everywhere, but I have to keep power usage in mind as it is cordless. Also downside with the EL if it were to fit, CORDS! I hate bloody cords!
