Default A question about molding.

Last night I saw about half of an episode of monster house. They used a type of molding to make a large tiki god statue in the living room. They also used the same thing to alter the shower. I was wondering what that was. Does anyone on here know?

I saw that show. All they used was the expanding foam.

I think that it could be a combination of the two. I was wondering this because I saw a case that had all this stuff added to the outside of it. I think that he might have used the same thing that they used on the show to make it. Anyway, the show was a lot better than I originaly thought.

to make a similar effect without wiremesh, you could use a fiberglass mesh like they use for patching holes in cars. You permeate the mesh in the epoxy, then mold it how you want, and when it dries....tada

model train shops have a matterial that is like a(bone) cast that all you have to do is add water and shape it works best if you have something to shape it against

what i like to do is use some foam insulation to carve out what i want then put a layer of plaster of paris on it for the crust to carve the fine details into and most foams will melt if you spray paint them so it also protects from that
