2 things, ive heard alot of bad feedback about tigerdirect.com.. so, i might stear clear of them.. Also $135 for a Freaking case!? what are you thinking? are you mad?

you can buy a 30 dollar case and make it look 3x as respectable as the 135 dollar one you are looking at, this is a modding website you know..

oh, and welcome to PR

Don't get the premoded case. Get a cheaper case and mod it yourself. That's what this site is all about.

you can get that same case with the window at newegg for $43, and if you plan on playing any games i'd get a radeon 9500pro instead of that 5200fx.

Definitely skip the premod, if you insist on premod go with a Lian-Li or your average antec case. Also, buy everything from newegg. I'm sure they have everything you want, and if not just improvise. Newegg has the cheapest prices overall (FREE SHIPPING on tons of items!!)

Stick with Newegg like they said, and maybe SVC.com.
It's hard to suggest anything about products and prices when we dont know when you're going to purchase it really.

If you mean now, Newegg has 256mb 3200ddr for $59 a stick, and SVC has quad blue fans cheaper. Can think of tons of better cases for a better price.

If you would perhaps skimp on the non-important things such as the case, you could get higher quality components such as a better video card or ram.

Personally, I think you have some pretty crappy components going into this comp. A 60 dollar 550 watt powersupply cant be that high of quality. And did you notice the "upgraded" fan grills? Its unreal tournament logos placed on their sides. You could get 512 megs of ram rated for higher speeds and lower timings. 1 gig of ram is still pretty unnecessary unless you do multitasking out of the wazoo. The videocard wont be giving you decent framrates on newer games you will want to play such as Doom III or HalfLife 2. And while the DVD+/-RW you chose is ok, I dont see the point of buying one until the standards are truly set in stone on that. The heatsink you chose is pretty much stock, so dont be expecting to overclock or get incredible temps on that baby.

In other words, your plan needs a major overhaul in my opinion. For the 1200 bucks your spending, I bet most guys here could build you a much better system.

Good luck and welcome to PR.

thats pretty expensive, but ill take a look at it..

what motherboard do you suggest i get?

this is another board i found.. has everything but 128mb memory, is that a big factor in the performance of the card?

Alright, if you want premod, go the right way and get a lian-li. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...ion=11-112-025 <--You cannot tell me that case you want is better than that. First off, it has better airflow and has a blowhole. I'd say a blowhole is better than 2 side intakes since you already have 2 front intakes. The case is better quality and is so easy to work with a little kid would have fun putting stuff inside. That case is available in silver, black, and purple and blue elsewhere.

As for the PSU, look towards an Enermax/Antec with 430W+. You're going to spend ~$85 but that is GOOD and will put you in a 5x better situation.

www.resellerratings.com <--Go there to find out just how loving and nice TigerDirect is. Then find out how much better Newegg is. You will understand then why you should get everything from newegg.

As for the vidcard, just go with a Radeon 9500. It is a ti4200 with a turbo engine and will outperform by quite a bit and only costs a little more. Don't hold back $60 for something, it's better to just get it right and whats best for your money. Also, definitely stay away from the FX5200. If you want nvidia, go with a ti4600, ti4400, or ti4200. The new cards are just too expensive and aren't worth it. The newer lower end card just plainly suck.

motherboard and else opinions can be given from someone else, I would just suggest changing to an Athlon nForce2 based system to save money while getting better performance

yeah well i paid $150 for my case before it was modded, so dont listen to me. But hey, its better than everyone elses on here =) You know, the YY cube case, oh yeah, pwned. They just get better as you mod them, and besides, NOBODY has them at LAN's so you stand out even more. Bottom line, dont listen to anyone on here, buy what you think looks cool, cause it is your case after all. Just DO NOT tell people you did the work yourself if you get a premodded case, cause I will personally murder your shady ass. Have a nice day
