Question KeyBoard Fan

I dont know about you guys but my hands get super sweaty, I mean you have no idea how bad my hands get. I get tiny puddles on my keys on the keyboard, so I decided to try some moding skills. Got a little proccessor fan, cut a hole in the top of my older keyboard to experiment on, so i could have a fan I could hover my hands over ot dry them off a bit. I was think it would be pretty cool. Anyways here are my Questions. I was wondering how i would tap into the keyboard, so I could get some power to the fan. Im not sure if this is possible thats why im asking. I would think it would be. Also do you think it wouldnt supply enough voltage through the keybords Cord, and if not any suggestions on other ways to power it. Thanks oh and the keyboard is an oooold dell keyboard, dont know if that helps. I will get some pics posted when i get home. Im at school right now killing time in internet for bussiness class.

All I can really suggest is use a multimeter and check what voltage the leds are for caps, num and scroll lock, and damnit, use punctuation. Reading your post hurt my brain.

Ok, I was thinking of doin a keyboard mod myself and wire in a few rocker switches in for my fans and CCFL's. So far what I have come up wiht ismolex the connectors to the switch at the end, run the wires along the keyboard cable, and tie it all toether with some split loom. Now wheres my $0.02?

EDiT: Is this basically what you have? I have the same thing, only with a compaq logo on it.

Well, you could get a keybrd with USB ports and use one of them to give you juice. There are already USB fans, so no modding needed (kinda takes the fun out of it, but it's an option)

Why don't you try ducting it from the bottom and have it blow up through the spaces between the keys?

Because, the keyboard is solid in the middle. It wouldnt get much air flow to it i kinda thought about that too.

If you found a keyboard that would be possible for doing that, plz let me know that would be great. thanks

You type like 100 words a minute or something?...lol

You could always run some wires from the Pc's power supply up along the keyboards cable like Ben is talking.

I had an old rig that I put the power and reset buttons on my keyboard in a similar fashion.
