That thing looks awesome man. If you want a nice backlit keyboard, get the Saitek Eclipse! It's the best around. Are you going to soundproof it? You should put a mini fridge in there for snacking... hell, throw a microwave in there too! Then you'd never have to leave (except for poopie). If I had something like that, I would fill the fridge with hot pockets and then after I'd die from cholesterol, they could bury me in the thing .

I know you named it after your theme, but will it really be mobile? And will you paint it on the outside to look like some kind of gundam thing? Where did you get the car seat? From some junkyard?

Anyways, keep up the good work! And it would be cool if you could post some pics of the outside, jsut to see what it looks like.

Do a google image search for "mobile suit gundam coc.kpit" and you get some pencil sketches of coc.kpits from the series....

yeah! I've actually been using those sketches when I was drawing up my plans!! ^_^ Hiopefully when all is done, I'll have a collection of monitors at the front. And they'll be covered up with some kind of sheet metal framing, so that the ugly looking CRT monitors will a look real sleek. Then on those frames in and around the monitors I'll be adding buttons and little components with lots of LEDs to make the inside really pop out. I think I'm probably the most proud of the top TV... I want to have a few more components on my diagnol rack on the ceiling...

I wish I had enough money to buy new LCD screens or one of those large widescreen monitors for the main center one. *sigh*

I'll have to check on that Saitec Eclipse. I wanted to put a Saitec Joystick+Throttle in there to the left of the seat and to the right of the seat.

The outside it basically 5ft by 5ft by 5 ft cube, I suppose i could take a few more pics and post them later.

I bought the car seat off Ebay. It's a brand new black 1996 Jeep Wrangler driver's seat. Its verry comfortable, and it can recline, slide back and forth, it works just like a real car seat.

Admittedly, the outside it pretty ugly. I really just designed this thing to be seen from in the inside, but I think a little outside garnish might help a little. I haven't really thought about Sound Proofing it... *shrugs* I might.
