GBA Modding

I have a GBA that is serving me no great convienience other than taking up space. And, recently, I've been wondering if I could mod a GBA flash cartridge to accept a USB connection. (from a USB hard drive perhaps). That way, I can store tons of ROMs on a 30GB harddrive. (Let's not talk about getting the ROMs...)

There are maybe a couple other things I'd like to try, but I'll see if I can't do this, then I'll fly some things past you guys...

Now that I think about it... I wouldn't be able to use a 30GB HD with the GBA, as it isn't Flash storage... I would have to use a Flash Pen Drive... So... same question still applies...

hehe u already mentioned that u intend eventually for rom downloading which is illegal, and thus no one is gonna give u advice. sorry bro, but we dont want to attract that kind of attention to pimprig.

Copying ROMs on yer HD is NOT illegal........

A flash drive would not work as you would need something to work as both input and output. This has been thought about for a very long time. As for now the only real option is to buy a memory cartridge (looks like a game). They come in assorted sizes and expect high prices. Check eb games.

I've already seen the flash carts they have online... I guess if that's the only way, okay then. Also, downloading ROMs isn't illegal if you bought a copy of the original game, and then lost it... (heh) With that being said, I will say no more...

i modded my old Game boy Advance (the big version) to dispense Willy Wonka Nerdz. Basically i just used a dremel to cut each L/R buttons on the side in a 3/4 and 1/4 segment. (the 1/4 segment being closer to the edge). Then everytime u click the 1/4 segment it would activate a mini servo type door at the bottom and a few nerds would drop out. So then i loaded each side up with 2 different flavours, and the 3/4 segment of the buttons were used for game functionality. Hard to mod but it was worth it, i sold it on ebay for 200 bucks, when u can buy em for like 30 bucks regular. Sick
