Default when modding goes wrong i need to buy a mod or seek advice

ok in 3 recient attempts i have tried to make a dvd rom fit into a din sizeed space in my car and i have serously failed i have come to the understanding this is a mod that shouldnt happen.
first the rom i had was to long so i tried to cut the back metal dash supports out some that resulted in a trip to the er 8 stiches in 1 finger. well the supports came out using a sawzall.....then i had to make a fiberglass resin mold " a dvd rom is smaller than a din sized hold......lets say i managed to make a mess worse than my 2 year old would in my car and managed to mess up the dash....so junk yard here i come

so 1 er visit 8 stiches and a dash im about -750.00 and my mod still dident work just a heads up
on what not to mod

btw if anyone has skill doing this id love to buy a dvd rom din sized black
the car is an acura integra

DIN refers to a hugh database of industry standards.

To make a long story short ;
DIN for auto radio is: 2in X 7in.
Din and a Half is 3" tall
Double DIN is 4" tall.

CRUTCHFIELD has a configurator for most electronic gadgets to confirm it will fit in your car. In most cases that saves a lot of guessing.

Default Could have saved that ER trip...

Sony, JVC, Orion, and several others make a DVD in DASH player...or if your wanting it for a computer then thy the GLOVEbox...

Anyway - explain more about the purpose of this mod, might have some 'unique' thoughts' about this.
