Default CCFLs compared?

I want to get a couple of CCFLs for my new system, and I'm unsure of what brands might be good relative to others? I've been able to find some reviews for individual brands here and there, but does anyone know of any good same-review multiple-CCFL reviews?...

Personally, I'm interested in sets of dual CCFLs on a single inverter...

As far as brands go, I've seen listed:
- A.C. Ryan "Twin Overboost"
- CoolerMaster "Aurora"
- Lamps Electronics
- Logisys
- Revoltec
- Sunbeam
- Thermaltake "PerfectLight"
- Ultra "Super Brite"
- Vantec "Spectrum"
- Vastech

And also a large number of generics at various websites (frozencpu.com, crazypc.com, xoxide.com, twistedmods.com, performance-pcs.com, svc.com, etc.)...

So how does one pick?...lol. I mean, I'd really like the best brightest CCFLs, and so anyone got any *comparative* recommendations? (FWIW, personally, I'm mostly interested in dual UV pairs)

Thanks!

Well i did a little searching and i turned up this site Phoronix It has several reviews. Hopefully it will help. I do have several sunbeam ccfl's in my case and they are nice and bright. they were also a set of 2 12" lights on a single inverter.

When shopping for CCFLs, I take into consideration the brightness, and the expected life of the cathodes. I also tend to stick to brands I use other pieces of their hardware. For example, I'd take into consideration a Vantec or Logisys before a Vastech, since I've never heard of them.

Basically, unless someone can sell you on one particular CCFL, you just need to read the specifications of them, and try to find something that is applicable to your needs. Purchase it, try it out, and if it's not what you want then remember it and try something else next time.
Cheers!

I have two Sunbeam UV CCLs in my case, and they run great (a 4" and a 12"). I would stay away from the "liquid neon" CCLs from Sunbeam, though. I had one of those for about a day before the fuse in the inverter blew itself out.

Hmmm...well, anyone know how accurate the cd/m^2 brightness ratings listed on various CCFLs are?
