Default dremel problem

My dremel is stuck on the highest speed constantly. Any ideas how I can fix this. Really wanna start using this toy again, it was a dream to use when it was working.

The chucks seazed now so i've just drenched it in WD-40 and gonna give it a nice pry once it's done it's job.

thought i'd bump it up. Really want to get it going

Chuck is still seazed, let the WD-40 marinade over night and no luck with it. Any tricks for that?

its hard to tell for sure, but most likely to fix the swich, you would have to open the case, and inspect it to find out what is really hapening. some missing info, that i am wondering, is the swich stuck, or can u move it phisicly, but the speed does not change?

as for the chuck, try pressing the button the stops it from spinning, then go at it with a wrench that fits on those flat spots, or use a pair of channel locks, or locking pliers.

hope that helps

I would expect it to be the variable resistor. I've opened it up and the contacts are clean and thats as advanced as I get

Problem with the chuck is that the button is not strong enough, it just kind of flicks off and spind. I guess i'll be getting the pliers on it. But not now as i'm going to work!

I'll probably be giving them a call later then. Thanks a bunch for the help!
