I get the feeling that this forum is primarily concerned with electronic mods ,so y`all probably wont want to know that i once made a reverse pc mod type thing : its like this....old 386 case lying about,loads of gerbil straw lying about....i take the straw and ram it into the case.....then i take the case and strap it to our pine tree about 7 foot up the trunk ,facing south....then i wait 4 months for a family of birds to move in, eggs and everything!!! the birds were swifts which migrate to wales from africa{ i think }for the summer.
i **** you not...dont worry i`m not completly mental.i also do normal mods...any way, enough wafflefrom me.

First off, welcome to PR. Great screen name, by the way. I wasn't so original with mine. My name is John and I couldn't think of a better nickname.

Secondly, if you want to change your avatar, you can do so in the User Control Panel. You can chose from one that PR provides or you can upload your own. One hint...don't steal someone else's avatar! If it's in PR's list, duplicates are o.k. If it's a custom avatar that someone loaded, it's extremely bad mojo to heist it.

Third, if you are referring to the "Tech Hoe Newbie" title, it's one that is given to everyone when they first join PR. The titles are set on an equation of how many post you have combined with the length of time coupled with how many "rep" (reputation) points that you have. I'm not for sure of the exact forumla, but it'll change as time goes by and you continue to make good post and not do anything stupid like upset the staff for no good reason.

As far as the custom titles are concerned, just like Taz said, they are earned, not given. You'll find some members have been around since 2003 and they don't have a custom title; yet, others who have only been here a short time already have a custom title. The reason boils down to what they are able to contribute to the overall community of PR. Make consistent technically correct posts and someone will take notice. Make an ass of yourself, and trust me, EVERYONE will take notice. Only the staff are able to assign custom titles, for good or for bad. Don't worry, if you think they aren't watching..........they are.

Finally, asking for a custom title is a sure way never to get one. I understand that you are new here and don't quite know the rules yet. If you ever have a specific question like this again, it's better not to post it and draw unwanted attention to yourself; rather, drop a PM to one of the staff members asking why things are the way they are.

Happy to have you here and yes, I too, wish that Indiana was in Canada sometimes. I'm the kind of guy that if there is snow on the ground 11 months out of the year, it's the kind of place that I can be happy in.

Seriously though, I mainly lurk anymore. The passion for computers died, infact it has a negative association with my paycheck, more interest, less money.

You can start by:

1. reading, and abiding by "Da Rules"
2. editing instead of double-posting (or quadruple-posting in your case)
3. posting some pics of your reverse-case-mod! I'd love to see that! (I love little birdies )
