| Well the reason i come to this forum to ask this is because the a-holes on cellphonehacks.com just flap there mouthes a lot and tell people things that aren't true. Ok, heres the question. I have a motorola v120c tracfone. I can get into TESTMODE (menu 00**TESTMODE*) perfectly fine. What i want to get into is the phone programming menu. ive heard that if you type P-H-O-N-E # Menu Menu select it will let u in but that doesnt work for me. Any ideas? | ||

| Umm persoanlly this isn't the best of places to be talking about cell phones as we have a banner for Verizon phone system here and think that any notion of doing something illegal might cause another stir BUT..... if your phone is already hooked up and activated and your are using it, thats another story.... hmm it might reqiure some kind of cable. but i'll see what i can digup on google.... this might help... http://www.cellphonehacks.com/viewtopic.php?p=78531 Last edited by stereomod; 15-September-04 at 10:02 AM.. | ||

| well im not trying to do anything illegal. all i want is to be able to change a few settings in the nam/phone programming menu. stereomod what kind of cables would you need? i have a data cable from motorola but i cant do anything with that i dont think. if you have something for programming phones i would be willing to buy it if its cheap enough. | ||

| Hacking is not illegal if in sense it is to your own property and you are not trying to sell it. Hacking started out as a term for : programming oneself out of a tight situation... Sorry I dont know much about cell phones, but do know a lot about programming! | ||

All you have to do is dial [Menu]-0-S-E-T-U-P-[*] then enter security code 000000. That's Menu-zero-7-3-8-8-7-star. Security code is all zeroes. This will also work on other Motorola CDMA phones such as the T720. You can do all kinds of cool stuff once you're in there. I'll let you explore it yourself. Email me at v120.g.danpr@recursor.net if you have any questions about it. -Dan | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
