Radeon x800 to XT bios?

I was thinking of doing the ole switcheroo with the bios's. I've been eyeballing an Asus x800 Pro VIVO, and I was wondering what bios I ought to use? The generic one thats floating around or should I attempt to get an authentic Asus XT bios?

Here is a site for the bios downloads, but I don't know if it's gonna be possible since you have a VIVO card, and the bios flash has to be memory specific doesn't it? I don't know if the X800XT PE bios will work, especially since that is a vivo card, maybe one of the other pimps can help.

I don't know if it has to be specific to the cards or not. I thought the VIVO's were identical to the XT PE's, aside from the bios's.

The last two Asus bios's on the page have the same memory. *shrugs*

Well, honestly I don't think it will work, the X800pro have only 12 pipelines, and the x800xt has 16 pipelines. Flashing it to the XT is asking for trouble, I may be wrong.

turbo, VIVO X800 Pro's have been proven to use XT PCB's. That flash has been discovered across the net.

Will a flash unlock the other pipelines? I had no idea about that, thats why I said I may be wrong. If it does work, enjoy that asus bios I linked you to

Uhm, that's the whole idea of the 9800SE to 9800 Pro conversion that's been floating around the forums.

Um, of course I knew about that. But wow, that's pretty sweet, I thought only the 9500pro>>>9700, and the 9800se>>>9800pro mods existed.

Lol i haven't! Holy sh*t I am for sure getting a new card by christmas thats like $100 price drop since you can do that! Ok my slight problem... I have a K8T Neo Mobo with AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 2 HD's, to optical drives, and 3 fans will be 300w Enlight have enough power for all that?

I don't think your 300w is enough for what you have now. I try to stay on the side of caution, and I am running an Antec True550.

A 300? I dont know of many enthusiasts that would pick it up. Id start modestly at say $30 or so.
