Converting a PS/2 Keyboard to USB

Hey guys Just wondering IF its possible to convert a PS/2 Keyboard into USB??

I Have all the cable here but just want to know if it is possible??

Yes, just grab an adapter from your fav computer supply store.

Yeah the last coupla of mice ive bought came with an adapter

Those convert USB to PS/2 if I'm not a crazy drunk. I think he wants to know how to convert PS/2 to USB, probably without buying a convertor and doing the wiring himself like a true pimp. I am also interested.

Fuel's correct. You need to get a specific adapter to convert PS2 to USB. They ARE available, and they're pretty cheap.

All those adapters are USB to PS/2, and they aren't universal.

If im right, Im sure you can only get USB to PS2, i had to use one on my keyboard cos it was a Playstation 2 keyboard and it would'nt run on USB only on PS2. But i havent seen a PS2 to USB

*wince*Dude, we're not talkng about that PS2, We're talking about PS/2 connectors, the little roundish multipin connectors for mice and keyboards for PCs, mice ones are green, keyboards purple. I can understand the confusion though between PS/2 and Playstation 2 and even the other PS2 (under the table), which i'm using as a footrest.

Ok guys got bad news , Due to the complexitity of it all i was unable to create/ mod a ps/2 keyboard into a usb keyboard! i soldered everything in the right place but yet again nothing!

i got to thinking about the emulator that might be needed but that wasn't it!!
so i'll be on my way and trying other cool mod ideas!!

Dude, just go to your local Future Shop, Best Buy, Radio Shack or Office Depot. Belkin makes a dongle for that application. Sometimes, a "premod" is necessary.

Canada Computers has it for $10.00, but I'm not sure that they ship.
