Hard Drive Switching

Hi,
I just bought a new hardrive and am wondering somethin, i have 2 hard drive in my pc at the moment 40 and a 120, i wanna swap the new one for the 40 but the 40 is my primary disk can i just copy the files over to the new drive and the computer will recognise it as the primary disk?

Norton Ghost 2004 worked for me.

No.

Doing that with music, pron, word docs, etc would be fine, but for the OS & most apps you need to install rather than copy

Either use Ghost or XCopy. i have used both with every OS and it works.but normally just copying your primary disc to a new one will DEFINETLY not work.
