Just a friendly warning but I am not sure Duck or the other Admins/Mods will approve of your signature image as this is a PG13 site, and although its not terrible (as some I have seen) I have seen others very similar taken down... I would think about removing or editing it at the least... but this it your choice they may not say anything about it... Just thought I would give you a heads up... Peace

I don't quite think it's appropriate. Funny, and I appreciate the spirit, but we do have some rather young members here.

Welcome to PR, lemme eat and rest a bit from work and I'll discuss dielectrics.

And do NOT use water as your dielectric. They misunderstood a comment you made. You will fry those fish and everything else in there SO fast...

You'd have to have it sealed to use alcohol, otherwise it'd evaproate pretty quick and leave you with an empty tank and fried hardware, although probably some fun vapors...

that stuff is nasty! I also like the aquarium glue thats in some of the pictures. Its even worse! While I was replacing one of the sides of my tank I was using that glue to seal it. So i stuck my head in the tank tog et a better look at one of the corners and got a big whiff of it. It nearly knocked me out. i went out and got some red led's today and i'm going to hook them up to each hard drive so the platters light up every time there is a disk access. I'm probably going to have to scrounge for some opticalioslators...

---edit rather than a double post ---

Alright I went and got some red led's from radio shack. I just need an optoisolator so I can use teh leds in a way that they light up the hard drive platters during useage. But I havent got any of those yet but I will soon. So in the mean time I just went and finished my psu for the case. I plan on cleaning up the black marker, just havent gotten around to it yet.

I like that fan. No shroud for that fan either. I figure that if you are stupid enough to stick your fingers in a moving fan you dont deserve to have fingers.
Wicka if you dont have anything constructive to post here then I suggest you dont.

Project REVIVED!!!!

Long story short i had two large scsi hard drives in this case. They were full height full size ones too!!! they weighed about 10 pounds each. then while fitting one into the case i dopped it onto the motherboard and broke the cpu slot.

It was then that i kinda got pissed off about the whole thing so I just put it on the shelf and decided i'll find a new motherboard and get back to it.

Well its almost been a year but I finally found one!!!! *yay*

CLICKY FOR LINKY

So I rummaged up two processors. the "good" ones too! 200mhz with one meg of cache!!!

i duested off the box that my xp-120 came in and revealed my secret stash of simm ram. so i go and fill up all 8 slots giving me a total of 288mb, (yea i know)

Fired the thing up and immediatly overclocked it to 233 sadly the "reserved" setting on the bus speed jumpers was not 75mhz like i had hoped but in fact 50mhz

Some of you may remember my currently stalled project evangelion, about the laptop screen i have removed and trying to rig into the system. Well i had gotten a video card witht he proper outputs from ebay and i dare say this card is one in a million. usually google has butt loads of information about practically anything but in this case searching for my card revealed about 2 pages of information.

regardless i need to jury rig up a cable to see if it will even work but until i find a cable end that part of teh project is effectivly stalled. But thats just fine bacause it also has normal video out.

Well enought stalling for time, finally some pictures!

I am seriously considering NOT submergin this particular system in water. BUT i will need to make it look like it is. As i found out with placing a windowed hard drive into the aquarium the plexy glass under water turned into a perfect mirror unless looked at at a right angle. Regardless i will have windowed hard drives in this edition of the water router but i have chosen much lighter quantum bigfoot drives.

Now dont expect a whole lot of progress real fast because one I am in the hospital watching over my thater and 2 i just started school but i do hope to get this done quickly as time allows.

feedback is much appreciated.
